Die Popinjays sind ein klassisches Indiepop-Trio aus London: Wendy Robinson, Polly Hancock und ein Drumcomputer. Die Band war zwischen 1988 und 1994 aktiv und veröffentlichte drei Alben bei One Little Indian Records. Wie so viele andere tolle Bands verschwanden die Popinjays Mitte der 90er von der Bildfläche, Wendy wurde Kinder- und Familientherapeutin, Polly Profifotografin.
2015 spielten die Popinjays ihr erstes Konzert nach 21 Jahren. In Originalbesetzung (Polly, Wendy und der Drumcomputer) supporteten sie im Lexington in London die Darling Buds und spielten sich in unsere Bands-die-wir-irgendwann-buchen-müssen-Liste!


The Popinjays are a classic indie pop trio from London: Wendy Robinson, Polly Hancock and a drum computer. Active between 1988 and 1994 they published three records on One Little Indian Records. Like so many other great bands The Popinjays disappeared in the mid-1990s, Wendy became a child and family therapist, Polly a professional photographer. 
The Popinjays played a first show in 21 years in 2015 in their original lineup (Polly, Wendy and the drum computer) supporting The Darling Buds in London. With this show they got on our bands-to-book list! So glad to have you in Cologne!
